                    I'm well!
I don't recall when I last talked about what's going on with me.

Hmmm... IU decided to close the cyclotron and proton therapy clinic in December 2014 and laid everybody off effective January 2015. Between my age and almost 27 years there I was eligible to start taking my full pension, so I retired for about 8 months. During that time we bought a new house and moved up to Indy to be closer to Wendy's job and sold the old house down in Ellettsville.
September 2015 I went back to work at Zevacor Molecular, they're building a new 70 MeV cyclotron for producing radio-pharmaceuticals. They had actually started talking to me back when IU announced the closure and knew they would be looking for cyclotron people around fall... which worked out great for me to allow me to be "retired" while dealing with the houses and moving.
Apparently they are pleased with me, just this week they gave me a substantial raise and did the paperwork for a substantial retention bonus that I'll get if I stay to Feb 1.

So yeah, things have been hectic and weird, but life is good and I'm well!

                    Thanks for asking!
                    Tom

                          • Only my son has this kind of luck...

Y'all might remember me posting about the Corolla we had that Donovan hit a deer with.

Well he just texted that he was sitting in the house, heard a loud bang, dogs went crazy... Donovan went to the kitchen window to see a deer bounding across the yard.... and fur sticking out of the broken tail light of his Ranger.

Revenge for killing the deer with the Corolla?

                              • I would gladly trade a tail light repair for an excavator bucket coupler repair:

That bent thing at the top right corner of this bucket coupler is not suppose to be bent and that coupler weighs in at more then a couple of motorcycles. The pins are 2-1/2 inches in diameter and the bent steel part is about 3/4 inch steel plate. lol looks like an episode of Yukon Gold.
