  • Upcoming Events ... maybe subfolder it by region?

Great site. For the Upcoming Events section, instead of just one section covering all rides, maybe having it further subdivided into regions?

It's easy for the east coast to flood the events forum ... I'm envious ... as there are so many riders and availability of rides. So much so, that if I posted a UT ride, it's quickly get pushed down the list. I'm not complaining, I love that we have so many rides going on, but if the list was by region, then folks out here could just look into that folder for rides ... the east coast rides are kinda too far to go to, ya know?

    I'd suggest maybe the following:

Option 1) Smaller list, probably easiest
    East Coast (EST)
    Central (CST)
    Mountain (MST)
    West Coast (PST)

Option 2) More descriptive, but probably too many
    North East
    Central Atlantic
    South East
    North Central, South Central
    Mountain North
    Mountain South
    Pacific North West
    Pacific Central
    Pacific South West

With either of these two, I could post a UT ride, a UT/CO ride, a 4-Corners ride and it'd be mmore easily findable by riders in my area. Does that make sense?

Thanks for the hard work on the site!!

What would be even cooler would be if it were visible in both a region-specifc folder AND and a general folder. I know this is easily done in a Notes database, but don't know if this new glitzy high-tech stuff has that capability...

They talked about that at the old board.

Consensus seemed to be to list by state, followed by the event.

Something like: IL- Naked Bikers Polar Bear Ride Feb 5th in the title

        SOmetimes simple works best.

That was something I was going to start to instate, asking users to follow that exact format...but reality set in and I figured it would never be followed. As we grow, I may break down that forum into sections, as well as create seperate calenders. Until then, this should work fine.

Awww, come on Tom. If anyone can please 100% of the people all the time, it's you.

Actually I thought dividing them into time zones was a good idea until I thought of all those who would have to share a time zone with NY, then I suggested we divide it up with time zones and a separate one for NY.

Then when Tom came up with his suggestion, I liked it because we could see our own areas yet still see what was going on everywhere else.

I like this idea, seems simple and logical.

That's a great idea too. Then folks can surf all events, or focus in on a particular region.
