How to tell if Jet kit was installed 02 Maruader 800?

Hi, as you can tell from the title i'm wondering how I can tell if my bike was jetted. Bought it used and it came with cobra slip on's. The other day I was going to change out the air filters and found that they are K&N's... after doing some searching I found that when K&N's are installed you have to do a jet kit according to K&N's site. How can you tell if this was done?

I noticed that on the one exhaust pipe there is some slight discoloration chrome close to where it attaches on cylinder 2. Again after some research I found that this is normal... Other then that the bike runs great and no power loss or problems. I know that the manufacture tends to set the fuel lean for emissions and that's why a kit is needed after mods..

Can someone shed some light please.

Check the pilot screws, they come sealed from the factory so if they've been drilled out for access/adjustment/replacement then it's a safe bet the carbs have been rejetted.

Thanks shadow... by "Pilot Screw" do you mean the Air/fuel screw then yes the factory plug was drilled out... I can see the screws.. also noticed on the back part of the carbs (where the new pilots go) that those screws have been moved...

Well if it's an argument you're after...you could always buy some better pipes like Vance & Hines Cruzers or DG Performance HardKrome.
