Push starting is like crashing a motorcycle, sooner or later you're going to do it. Like it or not, it might be function that may save you from the side of the road. Last week I helped a guy push start his bike, and it dawned on me how simple it is, but yet people don't know the basics. So first, this will likely not work on a bike that is super cold/been sitting. The starter does a few things to motorcycles along with turning the motor. So, I'm not a huge leather person, and while I was shopping for my jacket, I was offered the FG KJ Air Jacket. Overall, I love it. It has a mesh overcoat and a windproof and waterproof removable liner The jacket is great down to about 30 degrees, and with the removable liner it's capable in warm weather riding as well. About a year ago, I purchased a pair of FirstGear HT Air Overpants. They're textile pants with mesh panels for cooling, and they come with a windproof/waterproof liner. Knee armor is foam, but I believe you can purchase CE armor as an upgrade. Hip armor is also available, but has to be purchased separately. The construction is fairly solid.
