Carhartt Pants
Carhartt pants as riding gear? What does the popular work garment maker have to do with riding? If you look around the riding community, you'll find most of the major gear makers have a selection of riding jeans. Myself, I have had two pairs of Draggin Jeans and was recently looking to find another pair of fabric, non-leather, riding pants. After reading reviews on Canyonchasers.net, I went and picked up a pair of Carhartt "logger" denims. Upon inspection these are made from the same heavyweight... -

Alpinestars SP2 Leather Gloves
Great review, I have the SP-1's and really like them. One thing to keep in mind the A*'s , especially the race versions tend to be 1 size smaller than most gloves. I normally wear a size L glove but with the A*'s its XL. -

Rev-It ST Pro Gloves
I've been through about 6 pairs of gloves in a little over a year. I know, I have problems. But with hands being used so frequently in daily activities I think they merit excellent protection. I previously did a review on my Alpinestars SP2 gloves that I lowsided in. They held up just fine, but I heard numerous stories about them failing for other riders. That's no good. Being fed up with trying so many gloves I decided to drop some money and get a pair I could really trust. I went with the Rev-It ... -

Gypsyangel's First Fly n Ride
Sorry, I didn’t take a lot of pics on this trip. So I’ll fill in with stock photos where I can for story purposes. So long story short, we sold all the bikes and put a deposit on a sweet 06’ BMW F650GS we’d been eying for awhile out in TX. The plan was to go the very next weekend, pick it up, most likely by car/truck and bring it back. So that night I go to bed, too excited to sleep. Knowing I’m finally getting my dream bike. The next morning I wake up early and Dan says “You kno... -

by Joseph HannaA quick review for those that might be interested. I'll admit right up front this machine combines almost everything I've ever wanted in a bike and does so brilliantly, so if I gush please bare with me
The appearance is EXTREMELY similar to the Panigale. Same swooped nose, similar fairing and similar tail end. The framing however is more Moster-like. The dash is simple (at least compared to some of the recent Japanese info centers) and more importantly much easier to see in direct sunlight th...

by DerickPush starting is like crashing a motorcycle, sooner or later you're going to do it. Like it or not, it might be function that may save you from the side of the road. Last week I helped a guy push start his bike, and it dawned on me how simple it is, but yet people don't know the basics. So first, this will likely not work on a bike that is super cold/been sitting. The starter does a few things to motorcycles along with turning the motor. So, now you know. * Turn on the choke if it's cold,...

by DerickSo, I'm not a huge leather person, and while I was shopping for my jacket, I was offered the FG KJ Air Jacket. Overall, I love it. It has a mesh overcoat and a windproof and waterproof removable liner The jacket is great down to about 30 degrees, and with the removable liner it's capable in warm weather riding as well. It's a 3/4 length jacket, so depending on your bike, it MAY bunch. I am 6'3", so it bunches a little bit, but due to my height I need that extra little bit of length. As I me...

by HotFixReview after 6 months of usage (Sep-Mar / 80F - 30F) A little background on myself first. I don't like spending money on myself and usually talk myself out of any purchase. When I first approached the motorcycle scene I wanted to ease in as cheap as possible, but yet still have the right gear to have fun. Keeping this in mind I wanted an all season jacket. In Atlanta, GA - that means mesh and a rain liner. It keeps the wind off and I feel comfy at ...

by WookieThis review based on my Aero 750 and may or may not work for your bike, so please take that into consideration.
I was in the market for a new saddle for my Aero 750 and looked at the Corbin and Mustang saddles. I decided on the Solo saddle for several reasons.
1. I love being able to customize the saddle. You can use different colors, textures and you can shape the seat to move you forward, backwards, up or down. 2. Price: The Corbin was cheaper than the Mustang...-

by anthonyAbout a year ago, I purchased a pair of FirstGear HT Air Overpants. They're textile pants with mesh panels for cooling, and they come with a windproof/waterproof liner. Knee armor is foam, but I believe you can purchase CE armor as an upgrade. Hip armor is also available, but has to be purchased separately. The construction is fairly solid. The legs have sturdy zippers that go the entire length of the leg, and can unzip from the top or bottom. All snaps on the front of the pants are covered...
