It is true that I could have done both, but I did not. I have found that when I ride, I tend to be less physically active.
I have cut down on my riding due to my recent experience of hitting a deer while driving a car. Also, some of you may remember my post about knee pain about two years ago. I am convinced now that this was caused by lack of physical activity due to lots of sitting at work, lots of riding and not enough exercising or walking. I have been doing some stretching and strength exercises after that based on my PT's guidance and it did not reoccur - knock knock on wood.

I do not feel like giving up motorcycles altogether but riding less makes me enjoy it more (as a more exclusive experience). It also lowers the risk of accidents (partly offset by gaining less riding experience) and minimizes the downsides of sitting in a knee-bent position for a long time.

That's not a huge problem on a motorcycle that has no seat
and truth be known, your leg exercises are probably the exact same exercise as riding my bike, except for the view and the tire tracks I leave behind.

Sorg just hasn't found that perfect bike yet. Once you do, you'll never want to give it up. It sounds like you're on the right track though, seeing as you're down to the ones you like the most.

Forward controls will solve that problem.

    Neither did Billy.

Fortunately for Peter & Dennis, the top speeds those bike scenes were filmed in weren't fast enough to warrant brakes. Seriously, just look at how slow they're crawling in those scenes.

For a bike that relies totally on frame flex and soft tires for suspension
and being pretty high, :I thought they were doing about the right speed.
