Sooo...I Sat on a Thing Saturday

And it kind of fit. So when they have a thing that isn't sold to someone else that I can ride? The thing might accidentally, on purpose, follow me home.

The best thing you can buy for your motorcycle is gas.

Whether it's MITGC thread or an SMAS thread, I'm not mad at it.

As for pony? Well, it has a few ponies.

Wow, this moved from FB to a motorcycle forum. We are serious now!

Did you schedule a demo ride?

Not yet. They don't have a 2017 assembled for me to test ride, AND I need to engage in extreme organizing shenanigans to get Eyegore's title. I exchanged info with the sales guy. He knows what I'm looking for, what I'm trading, and that I'm looking to buy and deal. I'll follow up with him when my title is in hand, hopefully in the next week or so.

AWESOME!!! You'll love the bags! But if you decide you can't live without the topbox, Ventura makes a rack so you can use it with the panniers.

I know I can't live without a top case. I plan to keep the Givi 52L I currently have, and putting it on anything I get. If doing that saves me a few hundred bucks, and if I like the case I have, I'm keepin' it! I'll just have to get a rack adapter and a new mounting plate for it. Even that is cheaper than a new top case.

Kawi doesn't "let" you have both the topcase and the side panniers. I'm guessing their lawyers make you have to choose for some reason. So be sure to be open to (and budget for) creative ways to get the storage space that you need.

On the Kawasaki Versys, the old ones did not let you have both side cases and top cases. I think the new ones do, but I am not sure.

Givi has a system that will allow you to put both on, but you have "say" you are only going to use one at a time.

I have a top case on my Versys and I am contemplating adding side cases. The 47 litre top case is plenty for the majority of my riding, but the side cases would be nice if I ever get around to the long awaited distance ride.
