    I realize the EPA standards are a lot higher these days but I have a tough time dubbing anything with a radiator as retro when comparing to the UJM bikes. Those uncircumcised phallic things under the tank in the opening post aren't helping either.

    The update above is a drastic improvement, but I say bring back the ComStar-styled wheels like Honda did with the CB1100.

    I sorta like it, but between Triumph Bonneviless and Yamaha XSR700/900, what is the niche for this bike?

    How about price? I don’t know what Triumph’s profit margins are like, but comparing the prices of the XSRs versus their FZ cousins, it seems obvious that Yamaha is enjoying a pretty hefty markup. Sure, the retros should be slightly more expensive due to the cost of metal finishing versus plastics, but not that much more.

    Seems like an opportunity for Kawasaki to trade off profit margin for market share.
