    Change to Photobucket. What do you use to host photos to post?

    Just read this;

    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/big-l...191026772.html

    Anyone get an email from them? What do you use to post pictures here?

    I have access to my own servers. Nothing fancy in the way of software, just a place on internet that I can upload files to and link to.

    It costs money to do that sort of thing, though. I have other reasons to have domains and web hosting, so it doesn't cost me extra.

    The thing about "free" is that someone has to pay for it, and that someone sets the rules. Selling ads is what normally pays for "free", and hot-linking doesn't display ads.

    Almost all of my pics pre-Tapatalk are hosted at Photobucket.

    Flickr user here. So far no threats of disabling hotlinking from them.

    I use Tapatalk mostly because of the photo hosting. The photos are on my phone anyway, so it makes things very simple.

    ImageShack did the same thing a while back. They made the announcement and gave you 30 days to sign on for a paid account before they pulled the plug. What they didn't tell you was they would deny you access to your photo files two weeks prior to the 30 day deadline, and you could not get your pictures back without signing on for a paid account. So if you still have access make sure you download all your pic files.

    My own website hosted by GoDaddy. Their hosting isn't the cheapest, but it doesn't completely suck, and is mostly user-friendly. Also, I'm too lazy to back up the entire blog and haul it over to another hosting provider.

    My photos were all on an image host provided by my ISP, but they recently just...well, deleted it. I did get notice, and I do have access to download them again if I want, but at this time I'm also looking for another image hosting service.

    Don't waste your time with facebook, they will change the URL of a hosted image anywhere between a couple of weeks to a couple of months.

    Some have moved to imgur, but not me. I won't be paying the pbucket ransom either. Right now, tapatalk is still free (for the moment.)
    You know, if pbucket wanted $1/mo, that is one thing, but $400/yr? Nah.
