It's really unfortunate that there are inaccurate news stories about his condition. Glad that the ones about his death or wrong. Really hoping he pulls through.

Nicky Hayden injured in bicycling collision

It's looking quite grim, I think. I never met the man and yet I tear up thinking about it. Sending healing and loving thoughts to him and his family at this time.

I'm hoping for the best for Nicky, but also worried he could end up like Michael Schumacher. Met him in the paddock at MotoGP Laguna back in his Ducati days; real down to earth dude.

Sad to say Nicky Hayden has passed away. I watched him in some thrilling races and will never forget watching his 2006 MotoGP championship season. God speed ...

Godspeed, #69. Too young, too soon.

I'm so very sorry to hear that he's passed. My sympathies to his family.

Waiting on race videos to watch him ride is one of the things that got me through deployment back in '08. Having something related to motorcycles to talk to my dad about (the Haydens are from my dad's hometown) was another. I never met him, but by all accounts he was a stellar human being, in addition to being a motorcyclist. I am really gonna miss "that motorcycle kid from Owensboro".

    Godspeed, Nicky.
