Will look to when the weather cools down a bit and by then, hopefully I'll have my lil R3 or something. While I am lusting after the RC 390, I am having issues finding a used one..and the local, new dealer told me a new one is going to run $7k plus OTD.
We found 6 of them here, all 2015 models. Send me the $$$, I will purchase it and, for you, because you're my pal, will ride it TO you.

    For him or me?

He had an orthodontist appt yesterday and is all excited because he can ride to his next one by himself. School's out.

Unfortunately, while he pitched his principal for a parking permit at school for this last month of school, she told him she already has made exceptions for sophomores and can't do it for him as a freshman. He did good but....ah well. Darn policy says juniors and seniors only.

No need for an exception, just change the policy.

I am with you but...she is administration. I'll leave it at that...and say that her biggest contribution to their conversation was how dangerous the road is where the school is located. I let him handle it all and avoided being a helicopter parent but did email her after their discussions to address the "you best not be denying him because of the 'motorcycles are dangerous' argument". She gave a valid answer that said she wasn't, but...I wasn't convinced deep down. (I did it with more tact than this post and all was fine between us.)

He has taken 3 solo rides by himself now and it is completely nerve wracking, esp when he forgot to text us that he arrived at his destination on one of his trips yesterday. I know my husband is humoring us by letting him ride and was very nervous when we didn't get a timely text.

He has an AP test at school tomorrow that starts before the bus runs, so he asked his principal if he could ride his bike to school. She immediately wrote back and said yes - and told him to park in the regular parking lot out front. So I asked him what was preventing him from doing that every day? I'm such a great mom. LOL We agreed that they would probably catch on after a couple of days given it's a motorcycle....and it's bright green.

I remember my first ride with a teenager (that wasn't me). I was riding with a friend and his daughter. I had known the daughter since she was seven and we were pretty close. As we rode through Phoenix on a Sunday afternoon, we came across an unusual amount of traffic and somehow my friend got separated from his daugter and me. After a bit we could no longer see each other and I found myself escorting Sara through heavy traffic.

Suddenly, riding motorcycyles was just about the worst idea on the planet. Sara did just fine and I eventually recovered.

LOL! YES!! I was so excited up until last Sunday's ride, then Sunday morning I woke up and thought this. It's a great way to put it. Thanks, as usual.

I am still in the recovery stage, though. haha

PS Heading to Sierra Cycles on Monday for recall work. They have a couple of used Ninjettes that may be too tempting. Brother is coming in July; need a 3rd bike...and a track day bike!
