Thread: 2017 MotoGP ...

Watched Moto2 this morning. Can't say the winner was a shock ... but with the Spanish dominance in MotoGP it is nice to note the first 5 in Moto2 were from different countries and the only repeat in the first 8 were Swiss (?). What is painfully missing are any Americans ...

Brits aren't exactly setting the world on fire either. I find it hard to get excited about Cal Crashlow, and his comment about how he would easily have qualified 3rd if he hadn't crashed didn't help. I do like supporting John McPhee in Moto3, but I think he's destined to be forever chasing that title.

Which I find curious because the Brits I know that ride are bloody bonkers about all things motorcycle (except for Norty cause he's a wuss and didn't bring Teri out to AZ for some offroad riding... [poultry is just another word for chicken]) ... almost as bad as Aussies who pretty well define Anglo insanity.

Malaysia, for God's sake, has riders competing and we have none ... just ridiculous. I was seriously bent when the AMA sold motorcycle racing down the river ... but ... I am going to the MotoAmerica race at VIR this year to offer my tiny bit of support to American motorcycle road racing ...

    Dang!
I ended up riding with a club yesterday.
My original plan was to attend observed trials.
Many world champions were there, I hear.
    El Trial De Espania
    47th annual.
Even this guy was there (10 time champion.)

I hear that's what happens when you get old ... just hang around celebrity riders talkin' about how good you used to be ... At least Teri is still out there putting rubber to the race track ...

Looks like you learned something from me . . . keep up the good work hanging with the pro riders! I'm already counting down to WSBK at Laguna Seca in July and Portimao in September!.

I can at least say I am a retired racer since I did race one season when I hang around celeb riders.

Completely different kind of fun while engaged in a nearly identical activity.
