    Nice work Captain.

    And don't forget, tread grooves are for more than clearing water. New tires are less bother than an insurance claim.

    If the salt doesn't corrode your bikes, and sand can still get you. It's tough out there. Thanks for posting this.

    I would have added one more visual - the "invisible sand" trap. You can detect it with your foot, but the sand is ground so fine as to blend in completely with the pavement.

    Have I mentioned I have reasons to hate sand on pavement?

    Seems some municipalities are using a "liquid slurry" that has salt in it for ice/snow melting duties. This stuff is very slippery for motorcycles. And, you can't see it evidently. A motorcop found this out by riding gently. There's pics on HDforums, but I'm ona phone, so you gotta search for it!

    Up here we call it Pony Piss, I think it might even contain calcium chloride all the faster to rot your cars out.

    They spray magnesium chloride here in winter. I've felt my rear tire slip on occasion. Kind of like riding when it first rains.
