Absolutely awesome. I am so enjoying your adventure!
Eastern Oregon, was for the most part, just a real pretty ride. Not much excitement, but real nice to just ride.
I've got a 8yo friend named Riley. So had to take a pic for him.
A not so fun event happened somewhere in eastern OR. I don't remember the town, but I had stopped for some eats. Went into a Mexican restaurant, and looked at the menu.
They had the most expensive tacos I've ever seen. Over $4 each. I think I had lunch at Subway that day.
Then I made my way into northern California.
Stayed with some friends in Chico, CA, then headed to Nevada.
I found a shoe tree on Hiway 395 just north of Hallelujah Junction, CA.
I made my way into Nevada and stayed with friends just south of Carson City.
We took his dirt bikes out in the countryside. You can see some weird things out there.
We also did a bunch of street riding. Lake Tahoe, and Donner pass and lake, as well.

Also did a short ride up to Pyramid Lake, and had a picnic lunch.
This is the pyramid the lake is named after.
After our ride, I took off down the east side of the Sierra Nevada mountains until I hooked up with some Harley riding friends who live in the foothills of said mountains.
Angels Camp, CA
Stopped at the cabin Mark Twain lived in when he learned about the Calaveras County jumping frogs.
They got friendly chickens in those parts.
After my chicken encounters, I headed south to Viasalia, where I hooked up with a guy I used to ride trials with 20 years ago. His son, who was 12 back then, is now in his 30's with 3 kids of his own. Made me feel real old.
Then headed over to the coast of California.
A lot of bugs in CA.
Korean BBQ in Ventura, CA.
From Ventura, I went south to San Diego, and stayed with friends there.
Then head east again to Tucson, AZ, where I am now.
Ribs for lunch, somewhere east of San Diego, about a mile north of the border.
End of ride. End of story. Thanks for coming along.
Yes, it was. It's wonderful to know that I'm not alone. There are dozens of people running around with noshoes!
