Maybe you shouldn't make any plans to challenge Toni Bou, but with your dirt bike experience you could probably jump in and be competitive (or at least have a good time) at the lower levels right away.

As for 68 being too late, I doubt that. We have lots of older guys who have given up on motocross and hare scrambles due to age and injuries but still enjoy trials. The guy I bought my bike from is probably pushing 80 and just bought a brand new Beta.

    Go for it!

I did float the idea of "another" bike past Gigi ... she mentioned something about a new car ... meh ... so I'll buy her a new car and mebbe get a Montesa Cota.

Mebbe 1st attend one of the Carolina Virginia Trials Club events ...

I'm not even going to dignify that with a comment...

...except I would be disappointed if you didn't try it. I'd wonder who are you and what have you done with Mike?

I did spend 30 minutes on the phone negotiating with a dealer on the price of a Montesa Cota 4rt260 yesterday ... No deal ... yet. I think I need to go to the trials ride on the 11th first. It's only about 1.5 hrs N of where son # 1 lives ... Mebbe take granddaughter w/ me to see it ... Uh oh ... then I might have to buy 2 trials bikes ...

I've been watching for a used kids trials bike for my kids. Those OSET electric bikes look like the way to go.

Bunch of the guys want to ride at my place on Tuesday if anyone is interested. Huge day for my house build too so my cota will just be sitting there some of the time.

Vintage trials again today. It started out very well, with me taking only one point in the first six sections. Starting to think I should move up to Class B, but having a chance at winning C sounds good too.

Then I put the kickstart lever through the side cover again. No more quick fixes, this time I'm going to figure out why it travels too far and get the cover welded instead of Mickey Mousing it with metal-filled epoxy.
