Motorcyclists throughout North Rhine -Westphalia are alarmed : Apparently it has an assassin out to get . Quite similar to 2011 in the Allgäu have a last weekend in two nights or more offenders placed south of Aachen five traces of oil . Four on country roads , one on a main road . The Aachen police believe that the act " specifically directed against motorcyclists ," it said in a press release. Reason: The oil traps appeared at night, all respectively in curves and on Driving routes in the Eifel, which is particularly popular with motorcyclists.

On the morning of April 4, one of these traces of oil was a 47- year-old Yamaha rider undoing: On the road L12 , south of Stolberg near Aachen, the XJR- rider crashed between the towns Venwegen and Mulartshütte . The 1200s slid in a curve on the oil off , skidded and stopped at the edge of the forest next to the road are . The Spicy in the accident : The 25 -meter-long oil slick had already been discovered by a motorist at night. Subsequently, the fire brigade and police had blocked the road . A special company had cleaned the tar and explains the work in the morning ended. However, the accident occurred afterwards. " There has been apparently a misunderstanding " of Aix la Chapelle prosecutor Jost Sagittarius Berg said on request of motorradonline.de . " The police had not yet released the track , maybe the oil has again formed a dangerous film because of the unseasonably warm temperatures that day. " Deposed Yamaha rider has since been released from the hospital.
    Special Commission determined

In initial police reports said that the traps had been laid with thin hydraulic oil. The police also have a corresponding canister found. " The oil is being studied forensic technology ," said prosecutor Sagittarius mountain. That it was in fact hydraulic oil, he did not want to confirm .

*Deadly motorcycle accident due to oil case

A direct connection with the oil traps from southern Germany, which had fallen to Easter 2011 in the Allgäu Honda rider Josef Deniffel victim , prosecutor Sagittarius mountain does not . But the cases are alike : as in the Allgäu , where the perpetrator could not be finalized until today , also determines the Aachen state prosecutor attempted murder. And how in the Allgäu , a special commission of the police was formed. For information leading to Enlightenment, 1000 Euro reward are exposed , see Calling .

Someone did that on a curve in the road near here last year. I was with a group of bicyclists when a rider ahead of me went down quite suddenly. I stopped and left my bike at the roadside. As I went over to the fallen rider I slipped on a somewhat ice like surface. Could not see anything at all, but when I got up I could diesel on my hand. No serious injuries for either of us and I warned the others. After clean up I was standing a bit away from the crash area and due to the angle of sun I was able to see... four evenly spaced 'spill' trails running around the curve.

We had a "sabateur" on Palomar Mtn years ago. He was a local that would dump used engine oil from his trucks and tractors at the apexes of some of the 63 turns on the South Grade. He got caught redhanded dumping oil. CHP gave him a citation. EPA put his ass in prison.

Makes sense because attempted murder is worth a ticket, but pollution deserves some serious jail time.

True, but if you are ever in Philly visit Eastern State Penitentiary. They have his "Cell" set up as a display. It was nicer than the Warden's place and conveniently located near the front door so he could easily receive visitors and go out if necessary!

I can't grok how people could do such things. Several years ago someone had put up high strength mono-filament line at "neck height' for a motorcyclist across several roads near here. Luckily a truck hit one and they were discovered and removed before anyone was injured or killed.

It must really suck to have that much hate inside.
