Practice Dates - going Dirt riding - post your Venue for local riders here

Don't know about you but I am always looking for other riders in the region to come out riding.
It's safer to ride with partners and tons more fun.

    Going Dirt Riding someplace cool?
Is it a location where anyone can free ride?
Post your date and location here and maybe other local riders will see it?

If you don't understand the post, just go watch "On any Sunday"

Wish I could make this to spectate. Too busy this weekend getting ready for trip to Madawaska Valley next weekend. No dirt riding for me, it's been 30 years since the last ride and I still swear my brother's XR80 was determined to kill me.....

I use to do the same not only for Observed Trials, but some other sports like flat tracking, to scrambling, to Enduros, to also cross country Racing, but injoyed the Observed Trials the most.

I had a Trials iron that was sort of tricked into being a street bike. I remember in the great Sammy Millers days he would ride his Observed Trials to & fom work.

So as I worked for a surveying firm, if the work was in Penticton or farther south I would ride the bike in the rough terrain even if it rained. It was a ball. I had a petrol station across from the office so the bike was locked & safe in their eyes. Also when going back I carried enough oil in a plastic container that I could top up to an extra gallon of fuel to make it back home.

Did the same when on my own time. I honestly wished I had a few others that would bush ride with me even if I tackled the almost impossible sections for that offered them a fellow rider that liked the bush to the gullies & such in the mountains.

Unfortunately so many just wanted to ride around town or ride the hwys. I often wondered but then I continued to do is so much on my own. True I had a chap with a 250cc used Montesa & once he started to ride with me he learned a maze of things like not ride with his rear end glued to the saddle. Even begine to like it, but his promotion ended any of the fun both of us were having.
Remember all the others on the road are crazy & out to kill you!!!!!!

Ok, I scanned smitty's post. (It's usually the best I can do.) I saw the word "MONTESA." I instantly thought of "VIVA MONTESA!"

Not a practice but the real thing; this weekend is our Canadian Motorcycle Association Observed Trials National Championships; anyone interested in attending can find event flyers at:
