Modifying *test* Doesn't change the title.....

At the old BB site we could modify a thread "subject/title" It was especially helpful on the "for sale" section where you could put *sold* in the title. It would also be helpful when correcting typos, not that I ever make mistakes.

Is there a way to incorporate that here?

Another community I am part of, allows editing/deleting of your own topics for the "Market Place" forum. But that's there, not here.

    Edit:

I also thought we already have the ability to edit our titles/posts? Because last I checked, and just now, I've been able to do so???

Not unless it has recently been changed.

if you edit the title in the FIRST post in a thread, it will update the title in the forum thread listing.

IIRC from last time I tried to do it, it modifies the title printed along the top of the first post, but not the name of the thread as displayed from the forums screen or the front page. As though in the initial post/creation of a thread, the title is copied to somewhere else for use as the overall thread title, and that first post's title is stored separately (and the first post is the only one that gets edited when you try changing the title)

What Remy just said is what I recall too.

If anyone has a thread title they want changed, send me a note.

Does that mean there is no way to fix it so that we can modify our own posts?

You can get to work on this one in the meantime.
