Thread: Not all that impressed with Motorcyclecloseouts.com...

None of it's really imperative that I get it now. The gloves would be nice to have, since I've been riding around in 30-40 degree weather with my summer, mesh gloves.

Wow. This just keeps getting better. They called me this time. Apparently those gloves I ordered are out of stock now... This is turning into quite the fustercluck. Rather than cancel the order, I went ahead and let them change the order to a pair they DO have in stock. It's like a bad movie now. I'm just watching to see how much worse it can get.

They were Joe Rocket Ballistic 3.0s. I wanted something waterproof to wear with my raingear and keep my fingers a bit warmer on colder rides. I've been wearing gloves that are mostly mesh, with my silk glove liners, or big, bulky winter gloves. They've been replaced by Fieldsheer Aqua Sport gloves.

EDIT: OMG, I just got a tracking number! 9 days after ordering... Supposedly, they'll be here tomorrow.

They must have next-day'd it for you then, pretty late in the day to be getting it tomorrow via regular mail (added to a last minute order change at that). There may be some hope...

UPS Ground will get from KC to Des Moines overnight. It's about a 2 - 2.5 hour drive for normal people, and Des Moines is actually a UPS hub.

Keep in mind you're excited about something you didn't originally order almost being there.

    Tom
In the end, regrets rarely come from things done, but from things not even tried.

They're not bad though. A little on the overly warm side, but that just gives me an excuse to buy another set of gloves that's somewhere in between the mesh and the waterproof, almost winter weight.

The stuff is here, intact. Doesn't make me much happier. My ire could have easily been averted had they bothered to contact ME, rather than me having to contact THEM and ask what's going on. They could have easily let me know 10 days ago that they had to wait for the stuff to show up before they could send it to me and everything would have been fine.
