    I use this grip lock
and this , it is for a laptop but works great to prevent anyone messing with the bike , kids sitting on it, or going into the tail bag which is locked, but still easy to open.

My logic is simple to use locks I will always use and disc locks are a pain. My "system" works for myself as I use it , and stops the causal thief. A determined thief can steal anything and mine is odd enough to cause a pause perhaps, otherwise insurance will buy me a new bike when they do steal it.

I rely on being big, ugly, and unsexy. Unfortunatly that's not much an option for a ninja. Covers and stuff that makes it harder to identify will be helpful in avoiding being targeted in the first place.

It's vitally important to know the correct name for all parts of a vehicle so that you can curse them accurately when they break.
