Forgive me if this is a stupid question................
but what kind of show is this? Is it like a car show that gives you a chance to check out the new 2006 bikes from all the manufactures?
Might be worth a road trip to Cleveland - such a nice place to be in January.

No stupid questions here. Yes, all the manufactures have their latest bikes out to see and sit on. (most of them anyway) Lot's of vendors too. I'd recommend it if you've never been, but get there early as the crowds can be frustrating later in the day.

I'd point out that the show varies from city to city. The Atlanta, show, for example, has declined over the last few years. The Galleria space is squeezing out the small vendors, so you're left with basically a big showroom of new bikes. If you live in Atlanta, it's woth the ticket price, or if you're in the market to buy. For myself and a lot of people I've talked with, unless there's a major change, we won't be making the 2 hour drive to see it. It's just not worth the effort. However, from reports about the NY show, it would certainly be worth going to see if you're that close.

I went to the one nearest us last year which I think might have been in Concord or
somewhere in the Bay Area less than an hour away. It was my first time, altho Lin
has gone a number of times in the past. He said there was waaay less vendors then
he'd seen before. I was a little disappointed in that but enjoyed going. I hope the new
venue in San Jose will have more room for vendors too, otherwise you're right, it
probably won't be worth going to since we see alot of the new bikes at the motorcycle
races we go to. And not looking to upgrade anytime soon. -Ann

    +1

I went for the first time last year here in Dallas. It's where I got to sit on all the shifty-things. Found out I was too short for a sportbike. Lot's of vendors, too. Bought my Frogg Toggs at the show. Tried on different helmets, too.

    Go. Enjoy!!!

It sounds very interesting. Never too early to start thinking about the next bike, right?
When I get a 2006 calender I'll have to put it on there. Sitting on a bike in January will feel good since I won't get any other chance to do that in Ohio.
    Thanks!

Glad to see it's coming in March in Atlanta. Getting to those January shows was cold!

MY first response was; "sniff..Not 'til March?" But you and Cindy are right. It will make it a lot nicer to ride to.
