    "Latest Posts"

On another forum I frequent, Triumph675.net, they have a section at the bottom of the front page that shows the latest posts. It's quite useful, and when I'm incessantly checking and rechecking the boards, I can see exactly what's new with a glance. Can we add something like that?

They're on VBulletin 3.8.1, so I'm not sure if that's specific to that version or what.

Here's a screenshot (sorry for the size):

Click the "new posts" at the top of the page.

It's that extra click that I don't like. I'm a big fan of efficiency - if I can get all the information I need on one page, I'm happy.

I guess one option would be to put the "Mark Forums Read" at the bottom of the "New Posts" page - then I could just bookmark that page and not even go to the forum index page.

I'd like to see that option.

Just bookmark one of these pages instead of the forum page...

But there's still an extra few clicks to mark them all as read so they don't keep popping up. If I could see what's new, and mark them all as read on the same page, that would be fine. As it is, I go to "New Posts" and see a bunch of posts. Some of them I want to read, some I don't. I click through to the ones I want to read, and then hit "New Posts" again (but not too fast - gotta wait 10 seconds!). Then when I'm done I still have to go back to the forum index page to mark everything as read.

Well... I like the way it is now and vote for zero change in the new posts listing. Sorry.

Well there are two of us that would like "Mark As Read" on the bottom of the "New Posts" page. Of course, I have less than 1,000 posts in four years, so what do I know...

On our local moto board, if I read a post from the "new posts" link and then go back to the list, all the posts are gone... essentially marked "as read". It really pisses me off actually.

Are you looking for something different than the "Mark FOrums Read" option that is in the "Quick Links" meno?
