Thread: Naked and beginner . . .

  1. #1

    Naked and beginner . . .

I happen to see a Suzuki Bandit 400 (GSF400) during my travels last weekend (have to see Granny and Pops).

The Bandit 400 is one of the most sexiest bikes I have seen. Although I don't dig the white rims . . .

Anyone rode or currently have one . . . NEED MO' INFO!!!

I think I just found my first bike!!

FYI: BRC scheduled for July + Private lessons from a friend

They are a great looking bike, often pricey as the 400's are hard to find.
Saw one FS up here last year, could have picked up a used SV650 for the same price....

    Otherwise...white rims can be painted

I was looking at bandits when I started my search. Knowing what I know now, I would
not recommend it as a first bike. They are light and have a lot of power in that little
package. Couple that with a red line above 14k and a high RPM power band you
are going to have to do a lot of work to make it run at its best, effort that should be
spent working on your riding skills, not driving skills. Just my take. It looks like a
    really fun second bike...

    Just my opinion. YMMV.

    54hp @ 11,000 rpm

    Max torque around 9500.

    363 lbs dry,

Not overly powerful, statistically similar to a Kawasaki 500R.

Probably a good choice for many.

Yeah . . . that's the bike I'm talking about . . . it pretty similar to the Ninja 500. They look good, they sound awesome, and cost as much as a quarter liter. If the guy s who got them for sale will call me back . . . I'd buy one. I prepared to sell my autox buggy to get it . . . : O

Everything I've heard about the Bandit is pretty positive. And it's a decent starter bike.

Also, I'd just like to add that that's the best thread title I've seen in quite a while.
