Unhappy Oh no! I broke my toe!

I kicked a chair pretty hard and broke the little toe on my left foot. I have it elevated with ice now. I can't walk on that foot at all, not even on my heel. I've been hopping on my right leg. Paul is coming home at lunch to get the crutches down from the attic. I don't suppose any of you know how to make it feel better. I've been searching the web, it sounds like it will take 2 weeks to heal. Why did this happen right before the holiday?

Little toe? You don't shift with your little toe. What's the problem?

Back when I was doing martial arts we'd break toes fairly often. We'd just put a piece of popsicle stick in between it and the good toe(s) and wrap it up. Not much else you can do if it's just a simple fracture.

Ibuprofen for the pain, and just let it heal.

Get some really sturdy boots and go for a ride, that'll help.

Golly...some people will do anything to get out of housework. Don't feel too bad, though, I once had to climb up on the roof and fall off to get out of mowing the lawn.

Hope it heals up quickly! I hear Ben & Jerry's does wonders for helping injuries heal better--Banana Split for anything below the hips, Peanut Butter Cup for anything above.

No fun. I once broke my little toe on my right foot when I was on crutches for my left leg. That was fun.

Fortunately, IIRC they heal up pretty well and the pain goes away decently quickly.
