The owner of the bike before me installed a HID light, but when riding it at night for the first time, the bulb seems really dim. He also gave me the original factory one as well, and I wanted to swap them out. The thing is, I cannot figure out how. Do I need to remove the whole front fairing just to replace the light bulb? The manual does not mention it at all, only how to adjust it.
If it's a true HID light you'll probably actually need to uninstall some things before replacing the stock bulb. HID systems use a ballast. In which case you'll probably need to remove the fairing to get at everything needed to uninstall it. FAQ at n250.org should give you what you need to know to access the headlight assy.
