Riding Diary for 2014

The one thing I hate about riding motorcycles...

Rate this Entry
As I was coming back from a ride, I realized the one thing that I hate about my rides is stopping. When I go for a ride I don't want to stop moving, I try to find roads with no stop signs. When I am on the bike I feel graceful, when I ride to a stop especially when I park, when I start up again it feels awkward, especially cause my bike is top heavy. But when I am moving all is right with the world. I feel like those dogs with their heads out the window, there is something about that movement that I want to continue, so I hate to stop and end that feeling. Maybe using food as an excuse to stop is a way to make the stopping not as bad.

I'm the same way. I plan rides looking for interesting things to stop and look at...but then...don't want to stop! Agreed that eating will make me stop. And grin while I'm eating.

I gotta agree. The bike is designed to be in motion, not parked. Even when my butt hurts from long days, I still find it hard to stop. Thanks for the post. It's truth in my life.

I like stopping, it's typically followed by taking off like a bat out of hell...which is quite fun.
