I've had my recon jeans for about a year now, but yesterday was only the second time I wore them. The first time I wore them it was for my 50 mile r/t to work and home, so I couldnt get a real "feel" for them. I have not worn them over the summer because they are really hot.

I wore them yesterday for 195 miles and I like them. They are comfortable and great for the cooler temps. We rode into the 60s and shady areas and my legs were perfectly warm.

The only complaint I have with them is the seams hit my legs in funny areas so it bugs me until I adjust the pant legs after I start riding. Once I bend my knee so my foot's on the peg, the seam hits right across the middle of my kneecap or something, and is just bothersome. So I hike the thigh part a little bit and then it's fine. I think because the jeans are of a heavy material, the seams are more prominent. They were not an issue after I figured out the above adjustment.

They dont exactly look fashionable because of the black ribbed areas throughout, but that's ok. I didnt mind when my mom asked what was "wrong" with my pants. LOL

It should be noted however that bicycle chain is not a sealed chain, the difference being that sealed chains have exposed rubber and rubber moving in contact with steel surfaces.
