• BBO Moves up to VB4

So the skinny is that BBO has made a major upgrade to version 4.0.2. The improvements of the software are pretty obvious, but the biggest reason for the investment is the ability to roll up our articles into a Content Management System style which will be easier for everyone who visits the site.

So, my main objective over the next week or so is to get the content moved and working properly. From there, I will adjust and modify the style to match what you're used to seeing, and with new logos that I was planning with the Curvy Sign Contest.

Anyhow, enjoy the new stuff. There may be a learning curve, but it will get easier for everyone...and not to mention all sorts of new features.

Agreed, seems to be a lot of new features with the upgrade, nice... and intuitive too (not always the case with upgrades as we know )

Good move all around. This version looks better, has more available features and using the CM/blog model for articles makes things much cleaner and helps the n00bs get to the meat of what they're looking for. I approve. Not that it matters.

Yes, thanks for the upgrades. Couldn't figure out why I couldn't get here from my favorites so I googled it and ended up here. There may be some others that take awile to find us if they are used to just clicking on one of their Favorites.

Another forum I visit also upgraded to the same software version, and I have the same gripe about this as that:

I'm on a 24" widescreen monitor and the text displayed is freakin' tiny. The solution I've settled on, use the zoom feature [Ctrl-Scroll] to make the text large enough to read.

Anyhoo... congrats on the successful upgrade. Everything seems to be working just fine.

I can't seem to find the Photo Gallery.....just wondering if it's part of the update that is still in process or if it's gone for good?

Guess with the changes I will have to start learning this or that. Being one with Epilepsy, since birth, then it is not as easy to me as it is to most regulars.

I also had a chap I use to work with & often mentioned m/cs. He was amazed when a friend of his had one of the copies of where I testing bikes for that magazine.

So wife & him both had used cruisers & were over to my place to show them off. NOTHING wrong with a 'used' cruisers.

I noted the bottom of the fork legs on both bikes were with oil along with dirt on them.

So trying to be of some help I mentioned that both bikes could use new fork seals.

So I insulted him for he bounced the fork legs up & down claiming they were perfect THOUGH that showe he was only counting on the springs inside of the fork tubes.

So kept my mouth shut after that one.

I think his wife became super keen of 'used' cruisers & had purchased another five of them till a few years later they were out to sell ALL OF THEM for their riding days were finished & more suited to a cage.

I am looking forward to the moves like others. just one thing I miss is that when I note an error in spelling I wish I could go back to that page & correct said error.

The days of a typewrighter & the sometimes used "whitener" are no longer. So if I stare at the monitoer then I can spot the errors that needed to be corrected, problem is some times I have set that post along with the errors, so if I spot it a day or so later I CANNOT make the corrections.
