  1. It's only your ego, get over it.

    With little less than 3 weeks riding under my belt my education continues, with my first drop.

    I'd like to pretend it was gravel, road slope, and the fact I was practicing emergency stops. In reality, while all of those contributed to my drop, I just don't have the experience yet. Nothing broken, only a few scrapes on the right turn light and a bruised ego. All in all I could be worse for wear and am wiser for the experience.

  3. Kawasaki Concours ZG1400

    Will this create a new blog, or go along with the original? Guess I'll find out.

    The farkling continues.

    Added risers. Raises the grip ~2', and brings them back ~.75". Makes for a more upright (and comfortable) riding position for me.

    Two RAM balls is probably excessive, but doesn't hurt to have them even if I don't need the second one. Not sure if I like the GPS here. Maybe ...

  4. Practice, Practice, Practice

    Rode over for some fried pie today. I took familiar roads especially hwy 64 that has just re-opened from a landslide. A lot of the sharp curves have been repaved and the area of the landslide is all cleaned up with spikes in the rock to keep it in place. Rode back home on hwy 68 with no one in front of me so I got to practice all the curves at whatever speed I wanted to. Riding sloppy at times but that is to be expected at this time. Just a gorgeous day with a wonderfully sunny ride.

    No riding today, some stupid weather system with tornadoes coming our way... now I have to clean up the garage.
