View Full Version : Sargent Seats Anyone?
I am looking for a Kawasaki Vulcan 500 seat. The folks over at Mustang gave recommendation & referred me over to www.sargentcycles.com. You mail them your seat, they re-work the foam, coverings etc. However, since this is Spring and Daytona, they are backlogged at least 3-4 weeks plus it'll be extra $$ for a out of stock style, "non-traditional" bike.
Has anyone ever used them or ridden a Sargent seat to know if this is worth the wait and extra set-up funds?
Thanks for any opinions,
Ash

I put a Sargent on the ZRX. The best money I ever spent on it. I went from burning butt after about an hour to being able to go all day. Mine was a direct replacement, not a custom so I cant answer that question. Have you tried a vulcan forum and asked what they have?

Double thumbs up on Sargent! We just got one for the RT and I've got one on order for my FJR.
The owner of Sargent, Mark Todd, is a very good friend of one of my best friends here in Charlotte, so I felt even better for giving him out business.

My bike came with a seargent seat when I got it and a stock seat. I rode with the stock seat one time and it was night and day. I dont know how anyone could ride on the brick of a stock seat on the Seca II.
Thanks for the opinions. I hadn't thought of heading to the Vulcan owners site to see what they have done. I enjoy rewarding great customer service - and will probably choose them when the seat gets upgraded.
One idea sounds do-able, without losing weeks of riding; an Airhawk. More airflow for the summer? Awesome!
Thanks bunchs,
Ash

If you hit a URL camper, Google is your friend.

Maxi-
On the Airhawk, do you have any problems with it slipping around?
I opted for an Airhawk instead of buying a custom seat for the Aero at this time and H vetoed- he has this 'thing' in his head that seat cushions aren't safe-
Just wondering how you feel since you have one? Think I'd be able to swap it between the Aero and the Reflex or is it bike specific?
Sorry- don't mean to threadjack- going to check out sargent now!
Thanks!
