Where's Centreville? I think we're going to be on the way back to Nashville from Talladega on Sunday...

It's about 25 miles or so south of Birmingham. Basically, it's the intersection of hwy 25 and 82. Talledega is maybe an hour or 2 ride from Centreville.

Well, the weather was perfect for the ride (ok maybe a little warm). The sun was out and we had around 35 riders show up (2 V-stars, 1 Norton, 3 goldwings, 1 Kawasaki somthing or other and the rest were Harleys of some sort). We had a nice service (it was my first methodist service) and set out the 50 miles to the childrens home. We got there and distributed the gift bags to the children and then the ride leaders presented our love offering of over $1200 to the regional director. It was a true blessing to bring a little happiness into those childrens lives and show them that theree are people out there that do love them. Afterwards we all went to lunch and then went our seperate ways. On the way home, the wife and I hit about a 10 mile stretch of rain that wasn't to pleasant but after that we were able to dry out and make it back in time for our 5th sunday singing at church.

By the way, this will be an anual event for this church.

Sounds like you had a wonderful ride, well except the rain part. Glad it went well. We got it a bit wet over in Talladega too.
