The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has
announced that Iowa has enacted a law supporting the goals of the AMA's
"Justice for All" campaign, increasing penalties for drivers who injure
or kill others as a result of traffic violations and adding motorcycle-
and bicycle-awareness information to the state's driver-training
curriculum.

Good to see it happening...too bad it's too little too late.

How many innocent motorcyclists did it take for some bureaucratic a-hole to finally figure this one out...

Oh that's usually the way of it...take any intersection in any town. After enough car accidents they erect stop signs. later on, after enough accidents, they replace stop signs with signal lights. Everything is reactive these days, few government or corporate entities (usually those two are in the same context LOL) could even define proactive.

They make me nervous whether proactive or reactive! The all too often seem to write the book on "unintended consequences."

But every once in a while... good things happen.
