"...David "Cash" Gebert, 59, and Linda M. Gebert, 57, formerly of Sarver in Buffalo Township, ran the 'chop-shop' operation for more than a dozen years until they were caught stealing Harleys at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, held annually in South Dakota's Black Hills, according to a 42-count indictment unsealed Thursday... The couple also sometimes used a mobile chop shop housed in a trailer, the indictment states...
"...'Bikers do not take kindly to people stealing motorcycles,' Sturgis police Chief Jim Bush said. 'That's the one thing [bikers] generally back us totally in. They're pretty protective of their motorcycles'..."
