I just realized that whoever 'repainted' my bike for me left out part of the side cover. :(

That looks cooler than I would've expected. I'm withholding judgement, as I've never seen a little brown girl on a hot pink ninja.

You'd be reasonably assured you'd have the only one in town. :)

Would definately catch the eye.

If the plastic welding goes well on my zed, maybe a color change will be in the works...I like the stock blue, but there's always black...

Actually, before I opened and looked in this thread I was going to say NO WAY....how gross. But honestly it doesnt look bad. As others have pointed out you'd be able to find your bike no problem..

I saw a chick on an old katana or something that was hotpink with pink-purple flames.

It was like assault and battery on my eyeballs.

Cool--I like it!

I'm going to bring out the picture of my favarite Speed Triple.....

Available from the factory in Nuclear Red, which is actually a violently vivid hot pink:rockon: I post up the picture whenever people talk about pink bikes.

Chrystal,

Go for it! To quote Aerosmith,

Pink is my favorite crayon, yeah
Pink it was love at first sight

What RockyMtnRoadRash said. Pink w/ darker pink/red/purple flames. suhweeeet!

MarcS,
If you only knew the power of the dark side... (http://www.jim-n-mandie.com/images/Bike/JeffersonMemorial.jpg)

To paraphrase the Stones,

I see a blue bike and I want it painted black... No colors any more I want them to turn black...

Edited: agin, cuz i tipe gud...

Cute comments, everyone!

I've been told that if I want it, that'll be by x-mas present. This is a total possibility. I'm going to spend today looking for pink gear - I know Cindy posted a pic and Icon has the pink Kitty line (if I'm thinking corectly)....

We'll see! :)

If I really were to paint the Meat hot pink and then decided to trade it in at some point, would that decrease my trade-in value at all??

Would that change the dealer's willingness to deal??

He fixed the paint job on this pic...

Yes, it would decrease the value of the bike. First, the worry of crash and repair comes up. Second, pink isn't a popular color, so he limits his potential buyers. A dealer may still deal, at trade-in values, because he can just pull the plastics and return it to "new" with a set of used ones and sell the painted set. Still, it's effort and cost he may not want to expend.

Personally, for a basicially stock, common bike, I wouldn't buy it if it were pink. There are simply too many other bikes around in colors I prefer. If it were a rare bike, or was otherwise a highly desirable machine, color wouldn't affect the price as much.

OTOH, I'd buy it.

Hot pink is great. Of course, my bikes are in candy lime green and candy orange. Part of the fun of riding, is turning heads.

LOL,

OK Missy - how 'bout I'll paint it over the winter and if you ever decide to move up, I'll sell it to ya!

:deal:

I'll even ride it down to you.

:)

Well, now that I have your morning lumberjack special post burning my retinas, I can only imagine what you've done on that bike.....

....so it might need to go to someone else.

But I'm sure if you act demure and innocent with someone else, you'll get a taker.

Or...just put a FJR, Honda S/T 1100/1300, or a Suzuki Bandit decal on it, and I might be sold.
