Who's in?

I plan on running the clubman Sat. V5 and ESS Sunday. I still haven't put the 17" wheels on. I may do that and bring the 16"s anyway. If I don't want to get new tires, I can run the Pirellis. We'll see how that works out anyway.

I sent an email to Schwantz' school to see if they're doing a track day with their school on Friday. If there's a track day Friday, you gonna come out to play on the ninjette LDS?

Im planning on running the SV, gotta get some fixes done first.

Post up what you hear on the Friday practice.

Anyone got a windscreen I can buy, use, or steal?

I have a windscreen off my old VStrom. It'll make a hell of a wind break for you.

Looks like Friday's a bust:

James,We will not be running a track/practice day along with our Lites school on the 23rd, it will only be the school running on that day. Thanks,MarnieSchwantz School3446 Winder Hwy, Suite M-234"

Well thats a bummer. I really could use some instruction but the budget isnt there. Plus if I was gonna plunk down that kinda cash it would be somewhere other than NSS.

I have an extra, not sure what upper it fits. I'll take a pic tomorrow & send it along.

I'm planning on the LW solo on Sat and some combination of SV & ninjette races on Sunday.

We're home. Found the rain that was supposed to be in Nashville today. It was between bowling green and indy.

What a fun weekend. I ran my best times chasing Karl for the ESS race Sunday - consistently 3 seconds faster than my times on Saturday. In the clubman race, I had a "moment" for 2 straight laps in turn 3. I didn't really know where I was as far as finishing order but I've had a really good season and decided it was better to back off and just get back to the garage in 1 piece. I was surprised with the plaque on that one - good thing for small fields.

There's 1 more race this season but it's a long shot of me making it to that one.

The best part, my repair bill for this year has been a free valve stem from the Bridgestone rep (thanks again Stick) and a set of rear brake pads (note to self: contact John about replacing the pads he gave me at Barber).

Racing with friends is the best. Losing to a friend is not as bad as losing to a stranger, and beating a friend is better than beating a stranger. That occurred to me as I watched Stephen pass me on the way to the finish line in Formula 2.

Mrs. HH got some good pics. If you guys want the full size one, let me know.

I think this one is from the clubman race. I really like it. It's a race, next to a race within a race. The two kids were racing each other in one class, Karl and I were racing each other in another class all in the same event.

Me passing Joe Barton - he got me back a couple laps later:

I like this one too. I hear the Jaws music when I look at it. Unfortunately for me, Karl didn't see the back of my bike as much as I saw his.

Life just doesn't get much better than hanging out with friends on a race weekend. Karl and I had an epic battle in our last race of the weekend that may have been the best experience on a bike I've ever had. Thanks again for that Karl. Its really too bad my video camera quit during the warm up lap:awcrap[1].

That lil guy on the #34 bike Palmer Kling will be contending for championships on a national/world level one day, Im sure of it.

Hey and none of us parked it in the grass this weekend guys, congrats. As a matter of fact the only mishap happened in the stands, not on a bike.

Thanks for the pix, Mrs HH:)

By far the best race of the season, or any season for that matter! And once again Stephen passed me in the last corner on the last lap, this time for a spot on the podium! But that was just the last pass, we traded positions a few times before that.

I got the first 2 laps before my camera cut off. I forgot to turn down the volume before I loaded it up, sorry it's so loud.

I was told that when I was in front Dewayne & Catt were rooting for Stephen to pass me and when Stephen was in front they were cheering just as hard for me to pass him.

Yeah, it was confusing the other spectators. LOL They were all, OK so who are you rooting for?
We were cheering for whichever one needed the most encouragement at the moment.
