James? Karl?
Who's in?
I'm getting ready to register for Friday practice right now, we should be pulling in to the track Thursday afternoon.
My crystal ball sees some low 1:07s or high 1:06s this weekend...

The ninjette seems to be good to go. I hope to be there about the time they open the gates on Thursday.
Where are you staying? The Baymont again?

How quickly things can change - I was planning on coming but....
I mis-understood D's explanation of her eye surgery's billing. We got another bill yesterday so it's looking like we won't make it.
I'd really love to come out and play but health comes before toys. If we manage to get there, it'll be a last minute decision.

Cant make this one. Good luck and have some fun.
Anyone going to Road A?
I think I'm going down to have a look at Jeffs SV, may buy it and do the practice but don't plan to race. Although if practice goes real well who knows.

No Road Atlanta. I've got about a dozen excuses, just post a number between 1 and 12 and I'll whip out the corresponding one.

I have a room & I signed up for Friday practice.
I'm glad to hear you are talking to Jeff about the SV. Good luck with it! Let me know your plans for RA and I might see if I can come out for a visit. I have company coming so I won't be riding.

I have a spare bed in my room, it's yours if you want it.

OK. It was hot. Not really hot, but really, really humid. Miserable would be a good description.
I had a good weekend. Didn't get any faster, my best race time was about a half second slower than my all-time best, but consistent this time. All my laps were within a half second in the final race, so all things considered, I ended up being faster over the race distance.
It's kind of frustrating. You make an improvement in one corner, and it blows all your marks for the next half of the lap or so. But, maintaining my self-imposed 80% limit, it's getting easier to run those times. So next time out another consistent half second should be easy.
My buddy Rob crashed real hard on Saturday. We worked on his bike until it was time to leave the track Saturday night and he was able to race it on Sunday.
For once, I didn't run any Saturday races and just spectated all day. What a blast!!! There are some really, really good riders running WERA this year and it was an absolute education watching them ride.
Catt took a bunch of pics, I'll have some up in a few days. Oh, and Mark, I took some shots of the vintage smokers on Saturday. Don't know if they came out yet or not, but if the do I'll post them in your "smells like racing" thread.

Glad to hear it was good weekend
Let me know the next time yall are racing. Anna wants to go check it out (as well as I), and then maybe she'll give me the full green light to start seriously looking into a track bike and gear. Besides, it'll be fun just to go see all the bikes and watch them run.

The next Nashville round is in September.
Tell her it's safer than being in traffic. In a car...

I've been down that road but she wants to see it for herself. And after she got rear ended, she's ready for me to quit riding all together. I'm still hoping to do Ed Bargy but that's contingent on finding a bike and some pants (provided I can find pants to fit my fat ass :smug:). After that, maybe just track days for a while. She likes watching the races on TV but that also has her freaked out. I can't get it through her head that I wouldn't be going anywhere near that fast.
And it doesn't have to be in Nashville. If you're racing anywhere that we can get there and back in long day, let me know. Anna and I'll just make a day of it.

Uh, not quite. He was in a different class.
I (and just about everyone else) got my ass soundly kicked by the Ducati 749 I stayed up most of the night putting back together.

When there's a bee hive there, sometimes you just have to poke it a little.
