Wondering out loud or aloud if you prefer...

I Wendy... I Wanda... I wonder if a BMW F800GS with knobbies can handle a Denver winter day in and day out...

LOL... I have a friend who rides his DRZ400S with dual sport knobbies year round, he's ridden in light snow. Not really that safe or recommended.. but he's crazy that way. Me.. I'll take the car because ice is ice.. knobbies or not.

Then again, I know of someone in town who will put ice screws in a set of knobbies for ya.

WHY are you thinking about WINTER now??

Part of my wonderment(twisted plan) includes not having a cage for the next winter season...

A set of knobbies plus two wheel drive and you won't have to worry about needing a cage.

Apes don't read philosophy.

Yes they do, Otto. They just don't understand it.

Note the snow packed between the knobbies. I'd get a setup like Karl posted. The dry snow out west probably won't pack like the wet snow of the east coast but I would put something on my tires. I had almost Zero traction. But a lot of funny looks as I fishtailed through an intersection in town. :)

I don't think much of the combination of snow and two wheelers. This is a well documented fact.

"Is it naptime," said the Strom?

"Yes," said Todd, "it is."

"How nice," said the Strom, and ungracefully flopped to the ground. "I think I shall take my nap Right Here."

Stroms are notoriously sleepy bikes.
