Pardon the drama of the title.

Is there any way to turn off the NewsBot posts so that they do not show up in the "new posts" list?

Ignoring doesn't do it, it still shows the post titles in the list.

We just need a clair posting bot. It could insert a title and then make really long posts. We'd have to find a way to make it say 'dude' a lot, too!

I have not encountered the newsbot annoyingness. But then, my bookmark opens the forum main page, not the home page, and I don't use the "new posts" button.

(Should I say "neener" now?)

Looks like it may not have been working correctly, at least for a while. There were multiple posts of the same article.
