I have no idea where "Olean" is, but seems stuck in about 1965, chronologically.
They also discover "not all riders are Hell's Angels."
But its mostly positive.

Olean is a small lil home town not far from Buffalo, NY.
I had really wanted to go to this rally this weekend, but the threat of rain keeped me from going. Its aboout 2 1/2 hours from Roch, plus I had never been there before. I am NOT kidding when I say I get lost in my own backyard. Another reason for not going.
Looks like I missed a good time though....

Hey, Lil Bear! I lived in Buffalo for a couple of years, then Tonawanda (north of Buffalo). That was almost 30 years ago. My then husband wouldn't let me ride. Practically threw a fit. I probably would have had a wild reputation had I ridden back then (1975). he he he!
About the closest I ever got to Rochester was Batavia Downs. :whip:
It took me a while, but I've now got a hubby who also rides (I talked him into it), and we're both having a great time!
/end thread jack
Sorry!

Hey Karen, a semi local.....Too bad you still are not around here. I'd love someone to ride with. Ive been to Buffalo many many times as that where my father spent his childhood. But now only go there cause Southwest flies out of there cheaply...LOL
If you are ever back this way......
(thread-jack...so what, us women have to stick together)

I'll add further to the threadjack by saying I grew up in Williamsville and Blasdell. Then lived in the city of Buffalo for a few years before moving to Erie. I have a few relatives in Tonawanda and Lancaster - small world!

We now return you to your regular program.........I kinda like this article. Stereotypes are hard to kill. I've had more than one person tell me the "joke" about the difference between a Harley and a Hoover (idiotic answer; the position of the dirtbag) when they find out I ride. So any article that says, "Look, they aren't all Hell's Angels, they're regular people!" is fine by me. I've wanted to make myself a t-shirt that says "I'm NOT a dirty biker. I am a safety conscious motorcycle enthusiast!"

That would make a great shirt, or sticker go for it..
