I've never been excited about the BMW's styling, and I REALLY do not like naked bikes.
So what do those crafty Germans do. They introduce a naked bike I am seriously digging!

The 3/4 front view is nice but have you seen the side view? Methinks with that long wheelbase and shallow rake fork it'd be suited more for the autobahn than Deal's Gap.

That bike looks like a beast. Have you seen the Face the Power ads? BMW has some neat motorcycle ads, on one of their sites (I forget where). At least one is risque (at least for puritanical Americans) and NSFW. :) If only BMW could get those shaft drive failures sorted out ...
Hmm, maybe THAT's what the Buell Ulysses is competing with.

Looks really nice but 163hp would kill me pretty quick.

If you're going to buy a mech suit, you should probably buy Japanese. They put bigger guns on theirs.

It's the same chassis as the K1200S with a shorter wheelbase.
Check out the blinged one

My first thought when I read the thread title: "Did they invade France AGAIN??"
Second thought after seeing the bike: "Is this a model?"
I may need to see one IRL to have a third, REAL thought about it.

I just love the cockeyed headlamp look, and the little plastic skullcap protecting the tach & speedo. would that thing have a use outside of looking badass and making cleaning bugs off the front a little easier?

It has a telelever front, so that shouldnt be too much of a problem. But, the long wheel base may indeed make it a bit of a beast.

Did you see the naked comparison in the current (September '05) issue of Motorcyclist magazine? With a hundred and forty-one RWH and a hooligan attitude, what's not to like? They also named it Motorcycle of the Year.
