Push for 1000 Users (Contest)

Ok, here it goes. In an effort to stimulate memebership, we're going to have a contest. No strings attached.

Whoever refers the most number of people when the members number turns 1000 will win a prize. At this time, the prize will be a brand new HJC CL-14 Full Faced Helmet (Or equivalent)

New Enough allows its customers to choose a group to receive donations, so when you shop with New Enough, choose Beginnerbikers.org!

Here's the critical part;
THEY MUST USE THE REFERRER FIELD WHEN REGISTERING.

The control panel will tell me who has referred who and so on, so to ensure that you get credit PLEASE tell your friends to put your username into that field, and if someone is having trouble doing so, they can email me.

So. Let the games begin...we have about 200 members before that 1000 member mark so that gives everyone here a fair chance.

Ok forgot to mention, people, please be smart about this. Dont register yourself over and over again under different emails; because I will know....lets keep it fair and friendly. Also, BBO staff [Cammie, subvet, hotfix, and myself] are exempt.

Is there a direct link we can send to people that will auto-fill the referrer field for them? The people I tell to go to beginnerbikers.org probably don't know my screen name. Even if they did, they wouldn't remember to put it in the field. I bet my girlfriend didn't even list me as her referrer when she registered.

You guys just need to bribe your friends better. I told everyone that signed up with me that we'd cut the helmet into slices and each get a piece. That way, we all win!

If you have the ppl you referred (if you know their username) PM me saying that you referred them, along with PMing me yourself with the names or email addys of the people you referred, I can manually modify the accounts to reflect the referrals.

As for your idea, I'll look into it. I think I might have seen a similar system in place that had a username specific URL to ensure referral credit.
