Mostly... for a bit, ;)

Heading out on vacation this weekend for my annual sanity check... so won't be online much for a few weeks. May pop in on occasion, but mostly I'll be kicking back with friends and family on a lakefront in the backwoods of Maine.

I'll leave you with a little something I threw together in response to a riding story elsewhere:


I Ride Alone

Dark, cold, I ride alone...
Moon shines, wind chills...
Little shivers, knees tighten against the tank...
I ride on, I ride alone...

Another rider! I'm not alone!
A nod, a wave, we ride on.
Not as cold now? Don't know why?
We ride together...

We ride together...
No idea who this is!
But I know he's my brother.
We ride together...

Miles pass,
Smiles grow,
Spirits soar,
We ride together...

Paths part,
A nod, a wave, we each ride on.
Smiles don't fade,
Spirits don't sink.

We ride alone...

But not alone...


Everybody ride safe,
be careful out there,
and keep on looking out for and taking care of each other,

Tom, you're probably already vacationing as I write this. I'm sure you're having a great time!

I really enjoyed the poem. It's so true. Just in everyday riding it's true. But it was brought home to me big time as I layed on that mountain in Tennessee and all those bikers stopped and offered thier help. Ya'll are a great bunch of folks!

Looking forward to hearing about your trip when you return.
