Hope I'm not the only one on here that owns one. They are great bikes.

Pondering a '95 Triumph Sprint at the moment. 3k miles for $2200. Good deal or bad deal anyone?

Yes, they are great bikes. Ive had an 03 Daytona 955i for about two months now and so far I love it. Really powerful, capable bike but for some reason its not that popular. Asp125, have you seen the new S3? The 05 model looks pretty cool.

I have a 04 Daytona 955i. Love it. If you have some riding experience they're very user friendly bikes. They're set up for the street, not the track.

I dont understand their pricing at all.

I can get a speed 4 for less than a Bonneville.

I would LOVE to have that as my first bike, but around here they are 7k (with added tac) OTD.

The speed 4, WILL be a second bike for me...

Where do you live? I've found some Speed Fours at dealers for less than $5000 new! Then again, I know some dealers that claim they cannot get any because they sell them so well; but word is Triumph is going to discontinue the S4 :???: Which could be good for me in a year or two when I want to get a second bike!!

I'm in Mississippi, we have two dealers, the local one is the cheaper. Both sell the S4 for 6500

I have just bought an 2002 Triumph sprint ST and have a question.

As the bike does have electronic fuel injection, I am a bit amazed it will actually get to much fuel (and cough) if giving full throttle from 2500rpm, and a few secs later some bangs in the exhaust pipe. If doing it more slowly you get all of the power out. I thought EFI would make it virtually impossible, is this normal?

Does it have the aftermarket pipe or OEM? I have an aftermarket pipe and it does what yours does. I have the Triumph Carbon Fiber highmount silencer.

However, if you bought the bike from somebody they might not of had the map updated. I take it to a Triumph dealer and have them check.

Is it wrong that I'm lusting after a cafed out bonneville black right now? My inner mod and rocker are very conflicted.

:werd: I'd actually love to get one of those too and race it. Of course, I don't have the financial backing to race one but it would be hella fun!!!!

I've been kinda lusting after a 2004 Bonnie Black at a dealer about 45 minutes away...

I think the Speed Four is so cheap because it's essentially the previous generation Daytona 600, without fairings. Triumph has already recouped their development costs on the model, so it's all gravy.

I'd like to get a Speed Four too, but I sat on one and the position would have me pretzeled PDQ. And it sure ain't no beginner bike. ;)

Is the seating position that extreem on the S4? I never sat on one but I'd love to own one. I assumed it wasn't that bad since it's nekkid!!

I didnt think it was as bad a GSX or a R6.

The sportbike position isnt THAT bad, but it sucks if you are used to a cruiser.
