So, I've obviously been working on a lot of stuff today and I thought I'd give a little update on where we're at.

The site in whole:
-The site style has been restored thanks to a backup copy of the database
-Most features have been uninstalled.
-The gallery has been updated and the photos are STILL THERE!
-The gallery will go back online in a few days once I review the settings again
-The articles are still out there, I just need to create links to it again.
-The support system is gone. It sucked anyhow, so if you have issues, we're using the help desk forum again
-Most of the features from the top navbar are gone for the moment. We're working on it.
-The homepage at beginnerbikers.org is functional, but needs to have modules repopulated into it.

Those are the major bullet points

Where we're at in the new server;
-The primary server is running OSX, but I decided to run Linux in a virtual machine for the site. This allows for the cool backups of OSX, but the power and security of linux. Good stuff.
-On the primary server, apache, php, mysql are all running and looking fine!
-The backup server is currently running linux and apache is running, but mysql and php have yet to be configured.

As I said on the downtime site, I expect it to take about 3 weeks to properly configure the new server. I've seen some bottlenecks today, and I sure wont miss those. That timeline I gave seems pretty accurate at this point, just after week 1. I'll advise of any updates on that though...

Thanks for all your hard work, I really enjoy this place. I wish I could help, but I know nothing about that kind of thing.

You the man. You will not be permitted to pay for any beer or drinks while in Durango, so let it be written so let it be done.

This makes me jealous. Now I want to drop everything and ride out there so I can have the privilege of buying one of those beers for him. :(

So? C'mon. Plenty of places for you to sleep for free. (You'll be too tired to care where you're sleeping anyway....) Get on that nine-one-niner and RIDE!
