This weekend, I may be buying my wife a Yamaha PW80. I am not certain of the year. She is short -- 4'11-1/2" -- so the short height should suit her.

I am in the process of building a track in my mom's unused field that we will use the yard kart and this new bike on. After she has the baby, she is really looking to get back into power sports.

I also bought her a 100cc Yamaha racing kart.

Ain't I a generous husband?

A lucky one, that's for sure.

Before you know it you'll be buying a CRF450 and a beat up D6 for making "terrain" and jumps like a guy about 20 miles from me. I haven't quite made it to the point of pushing up big piles of dirt to play on, but I'm getting dangerously close. Hey, with a D6 and about 40 gallons of diesel the course can change daily.

Have fun, beware of the addiction. :)

I got my farmer neighbors to bush hog the course for me. The ground is ROUGH. I have the wood at my house to make into a drag for leveling it out.

I am not going to say I will never add bumps, so let's just say that for now, they are only in the planning stage. *grin*

Geeze for a sec there I thought you had won the lottery and was building a private road course!

...and when I win the lottery, I will build a full road course. I will even invite you guys to come and ride. Until then. I will have to make due with a course that meanders around a 10 acre field.

Maybe next spring, I could have an open house for the BBO dirt folk.

Grrr. Here I was scheduled to drive up to Columbus (2-1/2 hours)...and we received an e-mail that the people sold the bike this morning. Guh! I am a little angry now.

Well, fortunes may have turned. Another seller might be willing to trade his PW80 for our racing kart trailer.

I don't use the trailer. I never got a license for it. I did not even get a hitch installed to tow it. It came with the racing kart.

So, I may still be able to make my wife happy!

I'd be there!!!

Anyone want to ride a vintage YZ400 two-stroke?

Yeah, why not, all y'all come on over to my place next spring...when the temps get above 60. I am a wimp and do not like the cold. We'll have a cook-out.

I have already apologized to my wife because I fear I may have made some of the turns too technical. I went a bit crazy at the steering wheel of the tractor, I fear. But, if you miss a turn, you will not be greeted by a tree...but it will be a patch of black berries. Ouch!

Okay, it looks like I may have tracked down an '85 Yamaha PW80 for my wife. Monday night, I drive up to Columbus to pay for it.

And the drama unfolds.

No dirt bike. 3 different deals, 3 different fallen-through deals.

Not gonna address this issue until next spring now.

The basic track is almost finished, it just need to drag it is more level.

Level isn't good. You need elevation changes to keep from getting too bored.
